Simply, mishpocha is a shared housing concept which uses
- involvement of the resident
- stable decent housing
- limited stable support
to assist persons from diverse backgrounds reintegrate with the community; (or stated in the reverse, if your living situation is unstable the rest of your life will be too).

Mishpocha is a transition home for individuals who are working at reestablishing themselves and who want to get back to living successfully on their own, and a realistic way for interested church people to become involved in street ministry.

Mishpocha, with the exception of a co-ordinating staff person, pays its expenses.
